The PIERRE Wave system is a user-friendly solution for integrating and managing smart devices through a central platform. The system consists of the following components:

A - Required Elements:

  1. PIERRE Wave Products: These smart devices, including lighting, thermostats, sensors, and other appliances, connect wirelessly to the PIERRE Wave Gateway. They provide essential functions and capabilities for the system.
  2. PIERRE Wave Gateway: The central unit linking all PIERRE Wave devices, the gateway manages communication and data exchange, ensuring security and stability. It supports remote access and control, with the default Berlin display interface, though users can choose any PIERRE display model.

B - Optional Elements:

  1. Mobile PIERRE App: This app allows users to manage and monitor the system from their smartphone or tablet, offering real-time updates and remote access. It provides convenience but is not necessary for basic system operation.
  2. Router: An optional component that enables internet connectivity, allowing devices to be accessed and controlled remotely.

System Operation: The gateway can connect to the router via Wi-Fi or LAN for internet connectivity, enhancing remote management capabilities. PIERRE Wave products communicate wirelessly with the gateway, which acts as the central hub. This bidirectional communication allows data to flow both ways, enabling users to send commands and receive status updates through the Mobile PIERRE App. The app facilitates effective management and real-time feedback on device statuses.

Log in with you Username and Password

Open Settings and press "Add Wave I/O"

Press and hold the Reset Button until the Indicator Light starts flashing

The reset button can be found on the other side of the IR remote control.

Press "Find Devices"

PIERRE application will show the list of available devices. Press "Add found devices"

Enter Name, Role and Group settings and Save it

When the Light indicator stops flashing, the PIERRE Wave pairing process is finished

FAQ

  1. What voltage of adapter should I use?

    Please ONLY use a 5V power adapter to supply power, and make sure the current the adapter is full 1A. Otherwise, the PIERRE Wave IR Remote will not work properly.

  2. How many air conditioners can be added?

    You can only add 3 air conditioners with one PIERRE Wave IR Remote.

  3. Can I control devices through the 2G/3G/4G network?

    Both IR remote and mobile device are required to share the same Wi-Fi network when adding the IR remote. After configuration is done, you can control devices through the 2G/3G/4G network. Currently it does not support the 5G network.

  4. What should we do when we can not use the PIERRE Wave IR remote to control the device?

    This device can not penetrate walls, so make sure there is no obstacle between the remote and the IR devices.

  5. Can we use wireless gateway for the configuration?

    Please ONLY use PIERRE Gateway.

  6. Can the PIERRE Wave IR Remote be used within the LAN?

    The Zigbee IR remote can operate within a LAN. To enable this functionality, both your mobile device and the PIERRE Gateway must be connected to the same local network

  7. What should I do if the device is often offline?

    1. Check whether the router is powered off or disconnected from the network.
    2. Check whether the router has been replaced or if the Wi-Fi name or password has been changed.
    3. Confirm whether the device has just updated its firmware. The device will disconnect from the network during the update and will automatically reconnect after completion.
    4. The Wi-Fi signal of the device may be too weak.
    5. The device may be too far from the router.
    6. If the device goes offline after a period of use but returns to normal after restarting the router or re-networking, this may indicate that the router is overloaded due to long-term high-load use. Consider replacing it with a more powerful router or reducing the number of connected devices.
    7. You can also use a phone hotspot to check whether the issue is with the network.

  8. How can we change the Manufacturer we want to control with the IR Remote?

    You can change the Manufacturer with your mobile phone or directly from the display. Edit display settings, select Wave tab i find your IR Remote from the I/O list. Click on it, and you will be able to select the manufacturer from the list. If there are more models, you can select a model from the 'Select Model' list.
